Laptop Stand with Audio Interface Shelf
The Challenge
Working from home, the owner has to carry his laptop and audio interface from one space to another between activities. The short, narrow hall way connecting the dining room and the work room has a few steps. The owner finds it inconvenient to carry stuff with bare hands to cross the hallway.
The Custom Solution
The laptop stand provides a solution with enough flexibility. When fully assembled, a laptop can be put on top and carried around, the short walls prevent it from sliding and falling. The accessory shelf below is designed for the audio interface, it can also be used to put things like books and tools. It is angled down and protected at the bottom from falling. The opening on the back gives cable access to the interface.
Other Uses
One can say that the simplicity and the wide surface makes it a comfortable tea table. It seems to us that both sides of the top surface can be used for decorative display. It can also be disassembed and stored away to make space for others (the cats, for example).
